Looking for good starter Ritualist Damage build
Yo guys I just got rit to 20 today, My first 20. I got his max armor and his blue but max staff. with Communing as the primary stat in his head gear and staff. I want to be a Damage dealer Rit with Communing and Channeling. as my 2 main trees.
So do you guys know of any good DD build I can use for now, Just off the skill vendor and basic skills i can get at this point. I am in Factions right now. This build will be temp till i can get some elite skills. any builds you guys may come up with id like to see ^_^

With Channeling and Communing, I think it would be best to try a spirit spammer.
Basically take some attack spirits, energy management, and [Summon Spirits].
You can try Splinter Barrage or something as well.
If you would like to be more useful, bring [Splinter Weapon] and [Ancestors' Rage].

Start up by this skillbar:

It's just a basic skillbar with Factions only skills, without all those Elites (as I suppose you don't have many of them yet)
For the elite, I'd go for [Attuned was Songkai], [Wanderlust] or [Ritual Lord].
Oh, and with superior communing + channeling runes you get a nice buff for damage output..

If you didn't want to go down the spirit spam route you could go down the channeling magic route instead, using a cheap fast recharging spirit, something like [Destruction] to trigger secondary effects from your channeling magic spells.
I love [Spirit Rift] too and easily rivals any Elementalist magic single spells on large clusters of enemies. Take [Ancestors Rage] as suggested above and whack that on Warriors when they are in the middle of clumps of enemies for AoE damage.
But yeah the alternative could be based around [Destruction], with a recharge of 15 seconds the spirit can be kept up in most battles. Then you could use skills such as, [Spirit Burn] which does damage and sets the enemy on fire for roughly 3 seconds if I remember correctly.
[Essence Strike] is good energy mangement also, whilst [Gaze from Beyond] is a decent offensive spell costing only 5 energy. Of course take [Splinter Weapon] to cast on melee chars and Rangers for good amounts of armor ignoring damage.

If the main thing you want to do is deal direct damage, try these:
[spirit rift][ancestor's rage][channeled strike][mighty was vorizun]
Just hold onto the ashes and cycle the spells. If course you'll run out of Energy quick, so bring:
[essence strike][Any low recharge spirit]
[weapon of quickening] is the first Elite you will pick up, and will work great for this bar.
I'd stay away from [doom][spirit boon strike][gaze from beyond]. I just don't like the damage vs. recharge, conditions, etc.

Stickied starter Ritualist guide with many specimen guilds including one elite-less build!
Try creating your own, and posting back here for criticism and help on it instead of just asking for a build outright. You will get far more out of the game and these forums if you at least try to create a build, and then discover ways of improving it.
